Declaring The Simplicity Of Christ And The Riches Of His Kingdom

What About Hell? February 23, 2012

Filed under: Faith Builder — stimsonsr @ 7:26 am

I do not pretend to know all the answers to this subject but these things are an important consideration in the study of hell, I am not even speaking concerning a certain doctrine nor siding in with any one group the message i preach is very clear it is The Revelation of Jesus Christ and it matters not who agrees or disagrees It is a person not a doctrine.

So this is for consideration in the light of what we have been taught by others.

Hell-

It has been used by religion’s to confuse, torment, take away peace, cause untold numbers to grieve over loved ones some have gone insane with fear while religion is distorting God’s character and limiting his power but Jesus defeated Hell at the cross when He cried it is finished and the graves opened up.

He is the God of all Hope…

7 things you may not know about Hell.

(1)—The word hell comes from a German term meaning to cover and used by the Scot’s in the covering over of potatoes for the winter.

The KJV translators picked this up to describe the grave (the Greek word Hades) and the Hebrew word Sheol it is also called Gehenna or the Valley of Hinnom in another place.

It is used by Jesus to describe the place of punishment familiar under the O.T. for the Judgment of Judah, Peter used the word tarturus (from Greek Mythology) to describe the chains for angels that sinned.

(2)—-Jesus used the word Gehenna (the garbage dump) because he was dealing with the the judgment of the nation of Israel, and their rejection of Him as the Messiah.

Gehenna speaks of a national judgment not an individual judgment, He used hades 4 times, the rest of the time He used the word Gehenna and was never used afterward except by James to describe the tongue in James 3:6

(3)—- The Apostle Paul only mentioned hades or hell one time and never mentioned Gehenna 1 Cor. 15:55  ”Oh death where is thy sting and Oh grave “hades” where is thy victory”  Hell has no victory.

(4)—-In Lk 16 we have The story of the rich man and Lazarus. This is a parable of the Jews (the rich man) and Lazarus (the Gentiles). Both systems died. One was carried into Abraham’s bosom the other went to hades the “grave”. There are many thoughts here that are to numerous to mention.

One interesting thought is the rich man had the presence of mind to call Abraham his father, and only wanted Lazarus to put his finger in some water to cool his tongue He didn’t ask for a river of water, but only a dip of his finger.

This is a parable because Jesus was speaking to the Pharisee’s and He only spoke to them in parables concerning the mysteries of the kingdom. It is just one in a string of five parables he had just spoken there is much more that can be said on this subject.

(5)—- Do you know that the lake of fire that burns with brimstone is where death and hell are eventually thrown into?

The word “lake” is better translated “body”. The word “brimstone” comes from the Gr. word “Theion” from where we get our word “Theos” translated “God”. Death and hades (hell) are thrown into a body of fire burning with God himself.

(6)—-Do you know that God said through Jeremiah that burning His children in the fire of Gehenna (Valley of Hinnom), had never even entered into His mind? (Jer. 32:35) He is a good God

(7)—-Jesus said He has the keys of death and Hades, Satan is not the jailer nor does he hold the keys to hell.

7 Things We Should Know About Death February 20, 2012

Filed under: Faith Builder — stimsonsr @ 9:57 pm

The apostle Paul asked the question of the ages to death and hell; Oh death where is thy sting?  death was silent for it had no answer so he turns to the grave and ask the grave where is thy victory? again the grave (hades) could not answer so he answered for them both by saying Thanks be unto God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
(I Cor.15:55)

7 things we should know about death!

(1)–Jesus destroyed the source of death the natural body came from the first Adam the spiritual body comes from Christ.  (Heb. 2:14-15) (1Cor.15:35-58

(2)–Jesus abolished death through the gospel when the gospel is preach death cannot stay. (2 Tim.1:9-10)

(3)–Jesus tasted death for every man. (Heb.2:9)

(4)–Jesus loosed us from the appointment we had with death.  (Ps.102:20)

(5)–Jesus Himself is the resurrection out from among the dead. (Jn.11:23-25)

(6)–Resurrection means to stand upright; We have risen from the dead in spirit, out from among the dead in soul, and we will yet know the resurrection of the body. (Coll.3:1, Ph.3:10,I Cor.15:42)

(7) Jesus has the keys of hell and death. (Rev.1:18)

The Ashes of A Red Heifer February 19, 2012

Filed under: Faith Builder — stimsonsr @ 8:58 pm

Heb. 9:13-14 –For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh,
how much more will the blood of Christ,

who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

There are three things to point out in this passage of scripture, The blood of Jesus, The ashes of a red heifer, and The cleansing of the conscience from religious dead works.

The ashes of the red heifer under the old testament were used in behalf of anyone who had came in contact with death, “the very presence of death caused worship to cease.”

The scripture reference of the red heifer is found in Numbers 19

“Spiritual revelation found in the ashes of the red heifer”

This was an offering to restore us back to fellowship from any contact with death, the very presence of death caused all worship to cease.

Jesus is the fulfillment of the red heifer and when the soul is seated in the finished work of Christ on the 3rd day we rise and enter into rest on the 7th day where all fellowship is restored.

1—- Tell the Israelites to bring you a red heifer without defect or blemish and that has never been under a yoke, the pure red speaks of the blood of Jesus Christ.

2—-The red heifer never had a yoke placed upon her; this speaks of Jesus having no sin and being the perfect sacrifice without blemish in order to redeem man’s soul from death.

3—-This was the only female offering; in scripture the spirit is in the masculine gender while the soul is in the feminine gender thus the red heifer typifies the cleansing of the soul ( mind, will, and emotions)

4—- Verse 9 “A man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and put them in a ceremonially clean place outside the camp they shall be kept by the Israelite community for use in the water of cleansing, it is for purification from sin.

This offering was kept for future use all of the others were for the present need of mankind, The blood was sprinkled toward the tabernacle seven times…. this speaks of the blood giving us perfect fellowship.. the purpose of the future offering was to show while our spirit is cleansed instantly our soul is in a progressive work, this speaks of the continual power of the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse our conscience from dead works and negative influence.

5—-When the heifer was burned it was to be burned totally; speaking to us of the total sacrifice of Jesus and his total provision for our thinking, emotions and will.

6—- Verse 6– The priest is to take some cedar wood, hyssop and scarlet wool and throw them onto the burning heifer; cedarwood, hyssop, and scarlet, were to be placed in the fire with the heifer, this speaks to us of Gods presence ( cedar wood) humility (hyssop) sufferings of redemption (scarlet) , again all of this is for the soul and removes from us the influence of religious dead works.

7—- 17 “For the unclean person; the ashes from the burned purification offering were put into a jar and poured fresh water over them.

The ashes were to be kept in an earthen vessel and applied with running water.
This speaks of His provision within us “we are the earthen vessel” in us He continually cleanses our conscience applied by the moving of the Holy Spirit “running water”.

There is much more on this subject

10 Things To Know About Suffering February 3, 2012

Filed under: Faith Builder — stimsonsr @ 8:30 am

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to (in) us. Romans 8:18

This light, temporary nature of our suffering is producing for us an everlasting, weight of glory, far beyond any comparison. 2 Cor.4;17

I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Jn.12;24

10 Things About Suffering

1- Jesus suffered for us at the cross so we can enter into those sufferings by faith.

2- We suffer as a result of in- justice because of the greed, hatred and selfishness of others, this we can endure or bare up under for the cause of Christ and His kingdom.

3- Suffering may come as a result of following the Lamb into unknown places possibly away from family and those we hold dear. (Notice its the lamb and He is  sacrificial most don’t mind following the lion) Rev.14

4- We suffer because of what we believe or what we preach whether it be right or wrong, We also may find people who love us and we love them, but will hate us or turn on us because we don’t just don’t believe like them.

5-We suffer because we refuse to compromise our principles in the fires of adversity and choose to love even when it is unpopular.

6- We suffer from no fault of our own but are in the wrong place at the wrong time,or we were born into poverty, sickness, abuse etc. etc.

7- We suffer because of the anointing in our life and the mission we have in the earth, the anointing provokes adversity.

8- We suffer willingly because we see the reality of laying down our lives for the sake of others.

9- We suffer because we choose to fight for a cause or our religious dogmas and refuse to humble ourselves and walk in love and it may be because we are just hard to get along with and we project our attitudes upon others.

10-We suffer because of our desire to know Him, for this it is not enough just to say He suffered for me, but to be able to say to Him I want to feel what you felt so I can love as you loved and be a voluntary love slave unto the death.

Removing False Identities January 23, 2012

Filed under: Faith Builder — stimsonsr @ 7:24 am

Ex.23:22 (b)  I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.

Numbers 33:55

If you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you then those who you let remain, shall be thorns in your sides(relationships) and pricks in your eyes(vision), and trouble you in the land where you live.

In identifying our enemies we should understand they are not from without, but they are from within.

We are in a battle that has already been won by Jesus now we come to experience that victory as we confront our enemies in the understanding of our true identity in Christ.

The enemies are giants that have Intermingled and embedded themselves into our personality while magnifying themselves through lies  these are attitudes and an old mentality that lives in our land.

They are not us, but they do live in us they must be confronted through the power of the Holy Spirit destroying all their memories (pictures) Numbers 33:51 and remove them completely from our land .

The Enemies :

Amorites—–Pride, ego, self boaster, vain glory, the root of a performance mentality.

Hittites——–Fear,torment, negetive motivation, anxiety, presumption.

Hivites———Compromise, mediocrity, opposite of excellence

Jebusites—–Defeated, trodden down, a poverty mentality,depression

Perrizites—–Isolation, A loner, non-covenantal, rejected mentality

Canaanites—Salesman, love of money, manipulative, greedy, covetousness.

When we understand that these enemies are in our land (soul) but they are not who we are we will not be intimidated by them and the accuser will not be able to use them against us.

We will with the word of truth drive them out of are thoughts desires and feelings while finding perfect peace for our soul.

Meeting The Need With A Seed January 16, 2012

Filed under: Faith Builder — stimsonsr @ 10:57 pm

Be not deceived God is not mocked “whatsoever” a man sows that shall he also reap. (Gal.6:7)

For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. 2 Cor.9:10

God’s answer to need is and always has been a seed.

After the fall when the need of man was redemption He provided the seed of a woman (Christ) coming through generations and eventually finding a place in Mary the mother of our Lord.

He totally provided for the need of all mankind with a seed and now we being in the image of Christ also have the ability to do the same with the seed of the word of God.

Perhaps one reason we find ourselves in need not for our defeat, but so we would discover His supply and His creative abilities in each of us.

It can be helpful to take an inventory of our need’s and then match each of them with the right kind of seed.

Things to remember while giving:

(a) Our giving should be purposeful with a proper assignment every farmer knows if you want beans you plant beans.

(b) Our giving should be cheerful and willingly not manipulated from us or by playing upon our emotions.

(c) Jesus said don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing simply meaning don’t satisfy the flesh in doubting nor consult with the financial climate around you. (Mt.6:3)

(d) Grace must be the power behind all of our giving and that through faith.

Each seed will produce after its kind, throughout history it is always the seed that is attacked if the seed is stopped then so is the harvest.

3 Areas Of Need:

Relationships–Give seeds of extra effort friendliness and forgiveness.

Finances–Give seeds of money material things and time.

Health–Give seeds of mercy, faith, and a merry heart.

Whatever the need, match it with the right kind of seed.

Marks Of Maturity January 5, 2012

Filed under: Faith Builder — stimsonsr @ 8:14 pm

Marks of Maturity: The state or quality of being fully grown or developed.

M–Management—-As we grow we come to manage our time, tongue, talent and treasure the result of this is peace productivity and power.

A–Accountable—-As we grow we discover both the freedom and the need of being accountable to others especially those in whom we have covenant relationship .

T–Trusting—-but  not ignoring discernment in trusting people as we grow we find a liberty to trust instead of being skeptical or critical we trust in God’s ability to keep us.

“The best way to make a man trustworthy is to trust him” stated by Henry L. Stimson Secretary of War ’1940-1945′ and then a more famous modern quote,an old Russian proverb” TRUST but VERIFY” stated by President Ronald Reagan on Dec 4th 1987.

U–Unity—As we grow we work for unity among others recognizing that they have a place as we do. We will not be thinking that unity means I have the pre-eminence, but living by the principle” if they will not let us in their circle we will draw a bigger circle and include them anyway.”

R–Rest—As we grow we learn to do everything from a posture of rest we no longer allow things or people to cause us to panic we save our nerves for a real emergency and live by the principle of “NO SWEAT.” Not meaning a lack of work…, just meaning rest instead of fear”.

I–Identify—-As we grow we come to identify with others in their need; weeping with those who weep and rejoicing with those who rejoice also identifying with God in His provision and character.

T–Teachable—A wise man will listen and increase in learning and a man of understanding will attain unto wise council; as we grow we realize how much we don’t know, and how much we need others to teach us.

Y–Yielding—As we grow we no longer need to have our way all the time. We understand the joy of yielding our desires to bless and help other people.

What is The Real Judgment Day? January 4, 2012

Filed under: Faith Builder — stimsonsr @ 7:23 am

(Jn.12:31)   Now is the judgment of this world;  Now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

v-32 and I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men (judgment) unto me “The word here men is added by the translator: the context of this verse is judgment;  this signifying what death He should die.

At the Cross Jesus drew a whole creation including the judgment of  it unto himself, and brought an end to the old world then brought us the good news that our judgment as a sinner is past not future.

The Cross is The Judgment seat it is where we all appear before Him and face the this judgment that has happened and it is where God has answered our cry for deliverance;

It is where sin, sickness, death, and darkness have been judged; It is where the old world has found a judgment day, and then sentenced to the death of the cross while removing all its claims from you and I.

Sin shall not lord it over us any longer for we are not under the law, but grace. (Rom.6:12)

The Cross is the throwing out of the devil “The prince of this world”   The devil has totally been destroyed and removed from our focus.

Jesus, at the cross, destroyed (put a stop to) him who “had” the power of death that is the devil, and  completely set free (amp) those who through dread of death had all their life time lived as slaves. (Heb.2:14)

We are now free from the devil, sin, death, and the control of this world through the power of the cross.

For the law of the spirit of Life in Christ Jesus; has made us free from the law of sin and death. Rom8:2

The cross is the power of God to us.

Overcoming Negative Relationships January 2, 2012

Filed under: Faith Builder — stimsonsr @ 7:27 am

All of us have had relationships that have gone bad, but the important thing is to find God in all of them, even in the difficult ones and then be healed and move forward.

(1) Learn to respond rather then react–a response is to who they are as a person with feelings, family, and friends in mind reaction is when we are solely focused on what they may have done or what we think they are doing.

(2) Use the conflicts to create overdue changes in us, it may be that The Father is removing old attitudes, and selfish motives from our own lives using someone else to help bring that about.

(3) Forgive—This does not mean to pretend they have done no wrong. The word means to turn loose or send away the offence. not necessarily to trust them again, but it does mean to let them go meaning you counted the cost you acknowledge the wrong, and you choose to release them through the grace given unto you through Christ.

(4) Recognize The Holy Spirit will allow some people in our lives only for a season, they were never meant to be a permanent part;   Pastor’s and church leaders should understand this go ahead and bless those who leave our church and ministry without resentment or thinking they missed God. (Make it easy for people to leave if they desire to and it will be easy for them to return if that be the will of the Lord).

(5) The things we dislike in others may be a picture of our own soul that we haven’t yet come to terms with.

(6) Negative relationships can become positive ones when we grow, adjust, and make changes in how we treat others.

(7) Avoid the blame game,,,,, This is a sign of immaturity rise above accusations and a critical spirit which helps no one.

(8) Understand the freedom of being delivered from people, so that you may be sent to people in purity and love.

7 Keys To Be Made Whole December 31, 2011

Filed under: Faith Builder — stimsonsr @ 12:23 am

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our GUILT and iniquities: the chastisement (needful to obtain) peace and well being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes that (wounded Him) we are healed and made WHOLE.  Isaiah 53:5 amp

1–Recognize that Jesus already healed us at the cross our bodies may not know it but the work Jesus did left nothing that was not put under Him and His faith defeated every enemy.

2–Never make excuses for the infirmity nor magnify its power don’t accept it as being God’s will for our lives.

3–Let your faith stand in the power of God not in the wisdom of men, it is because of His mercy not our perfect wisdom.

4–You receive by grace through faith It is not because of our ability to believe or our own good works, we don’t earn our healing through performance such as a thousand confessions etc etc.

5–Understand we don’t need to try to believe we are believers by birth  (believers just believe).

6–We should never try to hide sickness (physical or emotional) out of pride or embarrassment we should share it with the right people who can help our faith.

7–Learn to depend upon the help of the Holy Spirit to receive what is already ours.

The Father has given us an eternal “I will” meaning it was already settled  at the cross.

He is our helper and He will show us how to not just be healed, but really be made whole emotionally whole and in every way restore us.
