7 Things About The Cleansing The Conscience

7 Things About The Cleansing the Conscience

Heb. 9:13-14  –For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ,

who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

The blood did not just cleanse us from sin, but our conscience from religious dead works to worship the Living God.

The word conscience is sunedesis in the greek “to know within oneself”

7 things about the conscience:

1—It was a product of the fall, it was given by God to govern man until the law came,  after that it has to be cleansed under the government of  God, and only by the blood of Jesus.

2—It is shaped by our culture, authority figures, and religious influence or upbringing.

3—It is often mistaken as being God speaking to us, mostly in condemnation, accusations and excuses.

4—It becomes dirty and unreliable through the dead works of religion.

5—It will either accuse us or excuse us, but never reveal Christ or bring us to God, it does not base things on what is God or not, but good and evil, sins and not sins.

6—We cannot clean our own conscience, it takes a “clean man” (Jesus) to cleanse our conscience He does this by His blood, to worship the living God,  not a dead religion.

7—A clean conscience brings happiness, liberty, and the fruit of the Kingdom of God.

“In the teaching of the ashes of a red heifer in Numbers 19, the one who needed cleansing would arise on the 3rd day and on the 7th day would be restored to fellowship.

The 3rd day typifies the finished work of Christ while the 7th day typifies the sabbath rest in Christ.

Our conscience is always to be seated in the finished work of Jesus Christ, when this happens we will move into a sabbath rest having confidence with “God and peace with ourself and others.”

Do You Know This?

Do You Know This?

Everything God had against man He put it on Jesus at the cross. (Rom 8:32)

Every thing He wanted from man He got from Jesus saying this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.

There is a big difference between relationship with God and a performance fear based religion.  (Gal. 2:16)

Jesus settled the sin problem at the cross.  (Col. 2:13-14)

Jesus defeated every enemy including the devil.  (Heb. 2:8;14)

The Apostle Paul only mentioned hell one time in writing two thirds of the New Testament it is the word Hades and it translated grave in  1 Cor 15:55 and it has no victory. “Oh Hell where is thy Victory? answer- it has none” Praise Be To God!

Jesus brought an end to the old creation called Adam and started a new creation called Christ.  (1 Cor 15:45)          (2 Cor. 5:17)

That Jesus became a curse for us in order to free us from a life of misery and failure.  (Gal 3:13)

Jesus accepted us before we accepted Him.  (Ephesians 1:4-6)

Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father, and no man can say He is Lord but by the Holy Spirit (1 Cor.12:3)   (Philippians 2:18)

Jesus has made peace with us through His blood, now we make peace with Him through faith in His blood.    (Ephesians 2:13-16)

God does not deal with us according to our sins nor reward us according to our iniquities.   (Psalms 103:10)

There is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile the wall between us has been torn down.  (Ephesians 2:13-18)

Jesus our mercy seat has the keys of death and hell, not the devil.  (Rev. 1:18)

Judgement as it relates to us as a sinner is in the past not in the future.

It is the best thing that could ever happen to you when God gets a hold of you.

Two Ways Of Knowing God

We have been created by our creator to be decisive and rule if we refuse to decide our life other people or circumstances will decide it for us.  “God has decided to let us decide” For me I decide to accept nothing less than His fullness.

Job 22:28 says you will decide a matter and it will be confirmed and light shall shine on your ways.

There are two primary ways of viewing God!

#1–His person revealed through grace and truth in Jesus Christ.

#2– His laws or principles of creation.

The church has better known His person, but the world has better known His laws of creation.

Jesus said: Mt 5:45—That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Lu 16:8–And the Lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

The laws of creation work for everybody they are natural laws, gravity, sowing and reaping, financial laws, physical laws, laws of association, and laws of attraction etc.etc.

The person of redemption (Jesus) is known by grace through faith by the Holy Spirit He writes His laws of redemption in our heart and our mind.

We can know the person of redemption yet ignore the natural laws of creation and wonder why God allows us to suffer, but often times it is because we violate natural laws that He put in place at creation that work for everybody always.

On the other hand we may know the laws of creation, but still be unfulfilled in our heart because we do not know the person of redemption “Jesus”

May we come to know Him both as creator and redeemer.
