(Eph. 6:10 Finally my brethren be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might )
The secret of our strength is found in this book and order of understanding and the word “finally” it tells us if the other things are not in place then we will not have the strength we need.
Chapter 2:6; We are SIT ( a posture of rest ) in chapters 4:1 ; We WALK (our conduct ) and in Chapter 6:12; WE STAND (our position and aggression against adversity)
Everything in this book leads us to this conclusion “Finally be strong in the Lord”
Chapters 1-3 The Apostle Paul begins by the description of our position in the heaven’s and the reality of the finished work of Jesus Christ he shows us who we already are in Christ and we are to live out from this new life not merely seek to attain it but live out of it.
When we get to chapters 4 – 6 in the book of Ephesians the picture begins to change and we see the outworking of this new life in our everyday walk on earth.
Relationship to Him and now to each other Vertical and Horizonal
Chapter 4 –To the body of Jesus Christ and how we relate to leadership ( Ministry gifts) and to other members with the intent we grow up into Him in ALL things unto ONE NEW MAN.
Chapter 5 Relationship to others and also in our marriage relationship revealing 4 pillars “Covenant, Order, Romance, and Vision”.
Chapter 6 The parent and child’s relationship also in the modern equivalent employer and employee relationships oh how we need this today both in the home and work place.
Then “FINALLY BE STRONG IN THE LORD” meaning our strength or our weakness is found in our relationship with God and with each other.
