The Power Of Servant Ministry

Philippians 2: 5  In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus 6 Who, being in very nature of God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!

Jesus understood His greatness and this allowed him to serve humanity freely.

Because Jesus was so secure in His identity He was not afraid to become the servant of all.

Jesus girded himself with a linen towel, and washed the feet of the disciples.

After the resurrection Jesus was thought to be the gardener by Mary (John 20:15) he was a cook and a host for the disciples a servant in all three.

Acts 6:1-5  We have a list of the original deacons or ministering

servants.

Each one of these names speaks to us of the reward of servanthood

When the Queen of Sheba came to see King Solomon the thing that stood
out in her mind above the wisdom the wealth, and the beauty was how his
servants conducted themselves. 1 kings 10
