How We See Ourselves?
“We even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak. We felt like grasshoppers next to them, and that’s what we looked like to them!”
Numbers.13:33
Moses sent out 12 spies into the land to see who was there and what was there.
10 spies came back with an evil report, they were blinded by how they saw themselves and how they saw the giants…. The vision of themselves was that of grasshoppers ( insignificant, no ability to overcome and limited to the flesh).
Joshua and Caleb had another spirit; simply put they saw themselves accurately Caleb said ” We are well able to go up at once and possess the land; we will eat them as bread ( in other words they are breakfast for champions ) eventually they did lead a younger generation into the land and possessed it.
The vision we have of ourselves, will be the picture others will have of us, and that includes our adversaries.
What Has Shaped Our View Of Ourselves:
(1) How we see God— The view we have of God be that true or false is what we become like.
(2) What others in authority over us have said to us—parents, pastors, teachers, employers anyone who has had authority in our lives has the power to shape the view we have of ourselves.
(3) Our world—-relationships, abuse, failures, accomplishments etc.etc. “Rom 12 :2 JB Phillips translation– Don’t let the world squeeze you into its mold.” simply saying don’t let your world experiences of your life squeeze you into its mold.
Changing our view:
(1) By the renewing (renovation) of our mind—-changing the way we think about God others ourselves and the purpose of life.
(2) Create positive surroundings that reinforce our true identity in Christ.
( 3 ) Start living out of the truth that liberates—We never experience freedom until we understand we are already free through what Jesus did for and as us.

The Power Of Servant Ministry
Philippians 2: 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus 6 Who, being in very nature of God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!
Jesus understood His greatness and this allowed him to serve humanity freely.
Because Jesus was so secure in His identity He was not afraid to become the servant of all.
Jesus girded himself with a linen towel, and washed the feet of the disciples.
After the resurrection Jesus was thought to be the gardener by Mary (John 20:15) he was a cook and a host for the disciples a servant in all three.
Acts 6:1-5 We have a list of the original deacons or ministering
servants.
Each one of these names speaks to us of the reward of servanthood
Stephen—crowned or to rule
Philip—A lover of horses: speaking of strength grace and mobility.
Prochorus—Leader of the dance ( a praiser )
Nichanor—A Warrior un timely victories.
Timon—Honorable- Dignified
Parmanus—One who abides-stability
Nicholas—Victory over what people say and do–Conquerer of people
When the Queen of Sheba came to see King Solomon the thing that stood
out in her mind above the wisdom the wealth, and the beauty was how his
servants conducted themselves. 1 kings 10

“Prophetic Understanding” the difference between old and new
“Prophetic Understanding”
Much of the “prophetic difficulty” found today comes as a result of a new covenant people with an old covenant mentality.
Inconsistency in the realm of the prophetic can create alot of confusion and some prophecies are just plain weird and not from God,
Some will ab-lib to the point that it is unbelievable, then there are those who will sweep it under the rug and forget they ever said anything, others are just simply looking for self -validation.
It makes all the difference in the world when we understand what has been done in the finished work of Jesus Christ and we become established in the new covenant of grace and faith.
Question:
How can I know the difference between an old covenant mentality and a new one especially when it concerns the prophetic?
Answer:
(1) In the old covenant the spirit comes on you, in the new covenant He flows out from you.
(2) Old covenant is primarily foretelling saying something that will be or can be, this normally majors on human responsibility to make it happen, the new is primarily forthtelling saying something already truth but not yet manifested or realized.
(3) In an old covenant mentality we are overly led by dreams and spiritual sensations most dreams are the voice of the soul and not spirit dreams which makes them unreliable and reveal a condition rather than a solution, I had reoccurring dreams for 15 years then one morning I woke up and said Lord I thank you that your healing me and getting all this out of me they stopped that night.
NOTE: I am not saying God will not use dreams today He does but in the new covenant they are better called visions of the night they are not a primary way of spiritual guidance but something to supplement.
(4) In the old covenant mentality the Prophet is a loner they easily become un-submissive in the gift and normally end up using prophecy to manipulate people or to support their need to be recognized, eventually they may become a prophet of the people or to a former move of the Spirit which may appeal to the emotions but this is not a new covenant prophet of the Spirit.
(Titus 1:12)
(5) An old covenant mentality will put the focus on what the Lord will do not what He has done this has a way of keeping the people co-dependent upon the minister but never coming into the knowledge of what is already in them.
(6) An old Covenant mentality will often come from a heart of sin consciousness, judgment, anger, fear, and guilt they will give warnings that come from despair and they often will say things like I don’t want to give this word “but” and even become disappointed when bad things they prophecy don’t come to pass.
(7) Many prophetic predictions come from an insecure desire to be right or to feel important this is because of the need of finding their identity as a prophet instead of a son, and this will cause inaccuracy they will rely on general knowledge such as news events or personal experiences, but not on the Holy Spirit.
(8) Psychics and those who come from an old covenant mentality have this in common they may at times say what is true (but not the truth) If it is not the Spirit of truth it will ultimately lead people away from the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus unto false gods and idols of religion.
(9) A New Covenant mentality comes from seeing Jesus in Glory when this happens we will flow from rest we will have a vision of the day we will reveal Jesus in what he has done in order to make known what he is doing in the earth.
New covenant prophets will display mercy grace and faith and be accountable to others.

Removing False Images
Ex.23:22 (b) I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.
Numbers 33:55 If you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you then those who you let remain, shall be thorns in your sides (relationships) and pricks in your eyes(vision), and trouble you in the land where you live.
When we identify the inhabitants (enemies) of our land it is important to note they are not from without but they are found within our own soul.
We are in a battle that has already been won by Jesus but now we come to experience the victory as we confront our enemies in the understanding of our true identity in Christ.
The enemies are giants that have Intermingled and embedded themselves into our personality while magnifying themselves through lies; these are attitudes and an old mentality that lives in our land.
They are not us, but they do live in us they must be confronted through the power of the Holy Spirit, destroying all their memories (pictures) Numbers 33:51 and remove them completely from our land .
The Enemies :
Amorites—–Pride, ego, self boaster, vain glory.
Hittites——–Fear,torment, negative motivation, anxiety, presumption.
Hivites———Compromise, mediocrity, opposite of excellence
Jebusites—–Defeated, trodden down, a poverty mentality,depression
Perrizites—–Isolation, A loner, non-covenantal, rejected mentality
Canaanites—Salesman, love of money, manipulative, greedy, covetousness.
Ex.23:22 (b) I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.
When we understand that these enemies are in our land (soul) we will not be intimidated by them nor allow the accuser to use them against us, but we will with the word of truth drive them out of our thoughts desires and feelings while finding perfect peace for our soul.

The Secret Of Our Strength
(Eph. 6:10 Finally my brethren be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might )
The secret of our strength is found in this book and order of understanding and the word “finally” it tells us if the other things are not in place then we will not have the strength we need.
Chapter 2:6; We are SIT ( a posture of rest ) in chapters 4:1 ; We WALK (our conduct ) and in Chapter 6:12; WE STAND (our position and aggression against adversity)
Everything in this book leads us to this conclusion “Finally be strong in the Lord”
Chapters 1-3 The Apostle Paul begins by the description of our position in the heaven’s and the reality of the finished work of Jesus Christ he shows us who we already are in Christ and we are to live out from this new life not merely seek to attain it but live out of it.
When we get to chapters 4 – 6 in the book of Ephesians the picture begins to change and we see the outworking of this new life in our everyday walk on earth.
Relationship to Him and now to each other Vertical and Horizonal
Chapter 4 –To the body of Jesus Christ and how we relate to leadership ( Ministry gifts) and to other members with the intent we grow up into Him in ALL things unto ONE NEW MAN.
Chapter 5 Relationship to others and also in our marriage relationship revealing 4 pillars “Covenant, Order, Romance, and Vision”.
Chapter 6 The parent and child’s relationship also in the modern equivalent employer and employee relationships oh how we need this today both in the home and work place.
Then “FINALLY BE STRONG IN THE LORD” meaning our strength or our weakness is found in our relationship with God and with each other.

We Are Never Without Hope
Rom.15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
When all hope is gone he is still the God of hope; he creates it where it may not exist no matter what has happened to you or how hopeless it looks at the moment you are not without hope.
(1) Hope is the vision that keeps us focused on our destination.
(2) Hope is joyful expectation.
(3) Hope is our leader out of the dis-appointments and failures of the past.
(4) Hope frees us to trust again without the fear of being taken advantage of.
(5) Hope is a people lifter it removes guilt and stagnation.
(6) Hope is the key to obtaining favor from God and man.
(7) Hope is the blueprint of our faith, the security of our mind will and emotions. (what we think feel and want).
The previous verse Rom.15:13 said,” in believing we may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit,” or as J.B.Phillips translation says,“ That …your whole life and outlook may be radiant with hope.”
1 Cor.13:13 – And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. We are never without hope it is abiding.
The Father has made us believers in Christ we need not try to believe, but rather accept what he has done in making us believers, now be filled with hope in all joy and peace by believing in the God of hope.
“In essence he is our hope”
